In 2008, Peace Girl supported hundreds of young women and their children rebuild their lives after war through small grants and by working with them to raise awareness and protect their rights.

In 2009, Peace Girl has evolved as a collective of academics, researchers, artists and supporters that work with young women affected by war in various capacities and that want to stay connected to them and each other.
We will continue to fundraise to support grass-roots women and their children - providing educational support, income generation and small business loans.
We work primarily in northern Uganda with women who were abducted by the LRA and in 2009, began working in the Kivu provinces in the Congo.
